On Tuesday, Samantha Sheoprashad and Stephanie Simon of Trifinity Solutions met with Arya Ali- First Lady of Guyana to discuss our plans on reducing inequality in Guyana. We would have discussed some of the upcoming programs in March 2020 such as Innov8HER and InvestHER.
The First Lady Arya Ali shared her vision and excellent initiative she is currently working on such as the beautification project, the Adopt an orphanage and support rural community girls with sanitary pads.
Almost 4 in 10 Guyanese Cannot Afford Basic Costs of Living. Poverty is 41.2% in 2017 based on a poverty line of US$5.50 a day Guyana. (Inter-American Development Bank, 2020). The Youth Unemployment rate is 40% ( Caribbean Development Bank)
